MY TAKE

Yes, it’s true. This blog is becoming increasingly Canadian-oriented. But you know what? There are Canadian artists making amazing music that I keep falling in love with, so until they stop making great new sounds, I will keep listening and reporting. Besides, don’t you want to discover new music? Isn’t that why you read this?

This song is great! The chorus is so catchy, which you’ll see when you hear the music video. They call Jully Black the Mary J. Blige of Canada, and I can see that in this song for sure. I gratefully discovered it on CBC Radio 2 Drive about a month ago, and every time they’ve replayed it in the past few weeks, I’ve turned up the volume and rocked out with my bad self. This song will do that to you/ for you. I’m not sure if it’ll do that for men, but I definitely know Amber and Denise would groove to this a solid groove.

Well, enjoy it!
