My New Year’s Resolution for 2009 was/is to make a monthly playlist of new music/ music that got stuck in my head. It has been an attempt to both record what’s happened that month (an audio-emotional diary, if you will, and you will) and a way to push myself to get out there and listen to new music and radio and to explore this world’s musical layer.
The playlists from January 2009 up to August 2009 can be found in the archives of my website, fondly referred to as “A TIME MACHINE”. From here on out, however, the playlists will be blogged on the first of every new month, and categorized as “Monthly Mixes”. Make-a some sense-a?
In many ways, this month’s (and all future month’s) playlist will be a partial recap of many of the blog posts, though new songs will make it into the playlist that I haven’t blogged about, and some songs I’ve blogged about won’t make the final cut of the playlist.
