SONG OF THE DAY
“Hopeless” by Dionne Farris (Love Jones: The Music soundtrack, Sony Records, 1997). Written by Van Hunt.
WHERE I HEARD IT
While I was on Dave Koz’s youtube page looking for my video for my “Start All Over Over” blog post from last week I found this recommended to me in the right video margin list, and clicked to check it out! I guess I have good instincts, because the song was completely awesome! A find! I can’t take all of the credit for randomly finding the song though because I love Dionne Farris’ 1990’s classic hit “I Know” (and in fact blogged about it last year) so no doubt putting faith in something she’s touched is a solid bet!
Oh, and here’s a great interview with her from 2009!
