If You’re Irish, Step Into The Parlor

photolgirelandThis is my favorite ditty to hear on St. Patrick’s Day, and I have no information on who sang the version I know and love, what album it appears on, when, where, etc. because I can’t remember the name of the cassette tape my mom used to play every year that included this track. I thought it was a Bing Crosby tape, but I can’t find anywhere that he recorded that song, so I guess it wasn’t.

Here’s the chorus, my favorite part to sing:

If you’re Irish come into the parlour,
There’s a welcome there for you;
If your name is Timothy or Pat,
So long as you come from Ireland,
There’s a welcome on the mat,
