WHY TODAY?
My dad sent me an article a week or so ago about Suzanne Vega, whose got a new album coming out, and since I don’t know much about her oeuvre, I went spelunking into her catalog and found this little gem. The title of the song caught my attention because I’m a Western New Yorker, so I clicked and found a really sweet little folk track in “Erie Canal”. This album is categorized on Amazon as Children’s Music/General & Folk Music/ General— certainly not something I would have found if I wasn’t looking through Vega’s discography, but the whole album itself is a gem! There’s even a Sheryl Crow duet on it!
